     The United States needs more stings targeting child predators. Although they are called "entrapment," it is estimated by Sheriff Chris Swanson of GHOST that each arrest saves the lives of an average of 25 future victims, and these stings have a huge success rate. This makes sense. Whether turned on by young age or simply indifferent, most people busted do not wake up one day and decide to have sex with a minor, and the chance that they are all caught in their first attempt is impossible. In February 2009, he was released after pleading guilty and received lifetime parole and lifetime RSO status.        On February 25th, 2020, Cody Mark Kozicki received Shannon Viel as an attorney. It doesn't, nor did it at the time, look good for their case. Kozicki has recently been arrested for bond jumping on his pedophilia charges and placed under house arrest with an ankle monitor after posting $2,000 actual bond. He faces 28.5 years in prison if convicted.       Attorney Scott Stebbins withdrew on March 16th of that year with seemingly no reason, except that Cody is a weirdo facing disgusting charges who must have been impossible to work with.            Not all Perverted Justice stings were covered by the media, a prime example being Walters, Oklahoma. 11 individuals showed up in February 2007 and all were arrested and convicted with help from the local PD and the FBI.      One particular individual was a military carpenter named John Graham who was obsessed with getting a child pregnant.        Corey Coleman had an important job: head of human resources for FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Jobs literally lived and died by his hand, and he decided to abuse this power by using his position to get sexual favors. He often made advances in the initial interview and fired or did not hire women who refused to abide taking his harassment.       Cody Mark Kozicki is a teenage sex offender charged with sending explicit images of himself to dozens of girls in elementary and middle school and jumping bail. If convicted, he faces nearly 30 years in prison. Still, he lives at 135 East Cedar Street in Pulaski, Wisconsin , with his grandmother. Not only does she care for him and about him, but they gallivant around town together.       It can't be legal obligation. Were it so, she would have kicked him out when he turned 18 on August 30th , 2020. He is a sexual predator: for this, there is no excuse. Love can and must have conditions.            Arkansas really does not like sexual predators in their state. Gary Wood learned this lesson the hard way when he was convicted of a class B felony (murder is a class A felony) and sentenced to 12 years in prison for crossing state lines from Oklahoma to have sex with a child. He has been in prison since 2008 and has yet to be released. When he is, he will face lifetime sex offender registration.      Like his friend, Jackie Beasley received 12 years in prison.      Officers are given the authority to dictate the lives of the people they are supposed to protect, and people should have reason to trust them. That is why it is especially egregious when an officer of the law abuses his or her power. Perhaps the worst example of this abuse is Daniel Holtzclaw, a cop born in Guam who rose to stardom on his school football team and decided to follow in his father's footsteps in law enforcement.      Holtzclaw was arrested in 2014, convicted in 2015, and sentenced in 2016 for the rape, stalking, and forcible oral sodomy of eight different women. He cruised the streets of low-income neighborhoods at night, stopped African-American women, and used their criminal histories to force them into silence.        Just two months after a sting in Las Vegas made 11 arrests of accused child sex predators, 14 more arrests were made by the LVPD and federal authorities. These men, ranging in age from 24 to 50, are accused of arranging sexual meetings with decoy girls and boys between the ages of 12 and 14.        He is just a kid. Legally, he is not. Even if this argument were to be used in defense of then-17-year-old pedophile Cody Mark Kozicki, it would ignore two critical aspects of this case.      Kozicki is a seasoned predator. He already sent dozens of young girls pictures before he was arrested, and he went back online the second he was released. No amount of jail or counseling will correct him. No predator wakes up at age 65 or 70 and starts preying on children: it can be decades before they are caught. Cody already has all the patterns of a predator. He showed no mercy in his sex crimes, and he should receive none.
