How Joe Biden Cut Crime By 25%

If you pull the QAnonesque "Joe Biden's America" bullshit to make your political point, you are an asshat with no real concern for children. To clarify, during his time in the Senate, Biden was the Chair or Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1981 to 1997. Aside from overseeing six Supreme Court confirmations, he also wrote and passed the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act and Violence Against Women Act, two of a slew of Clinton anti-crime bills that cut crime by more than 25% and counting.

Among its provisions were: 1) the creation of the sex offender registry 2) the creation of the domestic violence hotline 3) a mandate that the FBI collect statistics on hate crimes against the disabled 4) funding for 100,000 law enforcement officers 5) a three-strikes law for violent and sexual offenders 6) privacy laws to protect medical providers from targeted attacks 7) a rape shield law to ban attorneys from using the sexual pasts of women as a defense for accused rapists 8) the designation of domestic violence as a federal offense 9) the creation of mandatory minimums for federal crimes.

Joe Biden did more than any senator of his era to protect women and children from crime, and he deserves credit for his achievements.
