The Racist Rapist Stalker Officer

Officers are given the authority to dictate the lives of the people they are supposed to protect, and people should have reason to trust them. That is why it is especially egregious when an officer of the law abuses his or her power. Perhaps the worst example of this abuse is Daniel Holtzclaw, a cop born in Guam who rose to stardom on his school football team and decided to follow in his father's footsteps in law enforcement.

Holtzclaw was arrested in 2014, convicted in 2015, and sentenced in 2016 for the rape, stalking, and forcible oral sodomy of eight different women. He cruised the streets of low-income neighborhoods at night, stopped African-American women, and used their criminal histories to force them into silence. By doing so, he demonstrated his predatory, sociopathic nature and cast enough doubt on their credibility to have people send him well wishes and money during his trial.

It wasn't enough to save him. On January 21st, 2016, he was convicted and sentenced to 263 years in prison, obviously amounting to life. He appealed to the Oklahoma Appeals Court in 2019 and petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court in 2020; both efforts proved worthless. He continues to fight his conviction, and his idiotic, naïve, and preppy family continues to support and love him.

How they managed to do that even before all the rape stuff is beyond me.
