Texas Representative Used Taxpayer Money To Settle Sexual Assault Claims
It really doesn't get more strange than Texas Republican Representative Blake Farenthold, who served from 2011 to 2018. He was an ardent opponent of healthcare and Muslim-Americans who liked to talk a good game on his conservative radio show. In reality, he was much different. His claim that he would still support Donald Trump if he found out he were a rapist is far from the only line he crossed.
The Corpus Christi lobbyist was elected to office in spite of being pictured in ducky pajamas with two women in lingerie. Once elected, he drank on the job and, when he wasn't smashing furniture, told his female staff that he was not getting sex from his wife (she is still married to him), he had wet dreams about them, and he liked their behinds and breasts. When angry, he said the opposite, telling them how ugly they were. The accusations were corroborated by male and female workers, and Farenthold resigned in 2018.
He was sued for sexual harassment, using $84,000 of public money for his failed defense. He initially promised to pay the money back, but, three years later, has announced he never intends to do so. He was hired as a lobbyist in 2018, but he resigned in 2019. The board member who hired him was ousted later that year. Everything is bigger in Texas, including the douche bags.
