To Catch A Predator Update: Ocean County, Part One

     

     Eugene Daily was caught in Ocean County in 2007. In October 2008, he was taken into custody awaiting trial. In February 2009, he was released after pleading guilty and received lifetime parole and lifetime RSO status. He was arrested in September 2018 for violating his parole and released after spending a year in prison.

     Dwayne Chisholm pled guilty in 2008 and received 6 months in jail, probation until 2010, lifetime parole, and lifetime sex offender registration. He was arrested for child abuse in 2017 and sentenced to a year in prison, being released in 2018.

     Robert Armstrong Graber was sentenced to lifetime parole and lifetime sex offender registration. He was arrested in 2013 for attempting to rape an actual minor. New Jersey has a very private court system, but it appears he is still in prison, and he likely received 1-5 extra years for violating the terms of his release in Ocean County.

     Ernest Timmons died of liver failure in September 2007 after he intentionally stopped taking medication in order to avoid a 5-10 year prison term. Because he was a member of the military, he had been in police custody for 6 months since his arrest awaiting dishonorable discharge. His family was able to receive a pension as he died before this could happen.

     Kazuo Akutsu was never able to make bail on his charges and in 2008 pled guilty and was sentenced to 3 years in prison. He was released after serving just over half of that in August 2008. He also received lifetime parole and lifetime sex offender registration. He faced deportation from the conviction, but he currently lives in Carmel, New York. He is one of the more famous predators from the sting and as a result he and his family have been subject to harassment for years.

     Todd Lewis was already a registered sex offender for the rape of a teenager when he was arrested, so he pled guilty to receive a "light" sentence of 5 years in prison. He had been in prison since his arrest for parole violation in his home state of Pennsylvania, and he spent all 5 years incarcerated before being released in 2012. He was in the middle of a custody battle and undergoing psychological sexual evaluation at the time of his arrest, which resulted in the loss of his children. He also received lifetime parole to go along with his RSO status. He lives in Harrisburg.

     Richard Burnham used 3 different screen names to sexually solicit a child and earned a sentence of 6 months in jail, lifetime parole, and lifetime RSO status. He was released in 2008, and he currently lives in Lady Lake, Florida.

     James Marcotte admitted in his chat to molesting a child in the past, but earned himself only 2 days in jail. He did, on the bright side, receive lifetime registration as a sex offender. He lives in Woodbury, New Jersey, and works in Philadelphia.

     Jeremy Keister was sentenced to 2 days in jail, but he did have to register as a sex offender for life. He served those days in 2010 and was released. He moved to Maryland before returning to Seaside Heights in New Jersey.

     Ziegfeld Rivera received lifetime parole and lifetime sex offender registration upon his conviction in 2009. He lives in New York, where only medium- and high-risk offenders are displayed, so little is known about him post-Dateline.

     Malik Kareem Washington also received lifetime parole and sex offender registration and also lives in New York. However, he did not need to get a ride home from Chris, as the police were more than happy to take him.

     Anthony Palumbo received lifetime parole and lifetime registration as a sex offender. He was the only predator of 28 in the investigation to come for a boy. His beer never made it to the fridge and he never made it to Atlantic City.

     Michael Lubrano and Michael Murray both pled guilty to attempting to endanger the welfare of a child and received lifetime parole and lifetime sex offender registration at the same hearing in June 2008. Despite claims that Michael Lubrano only wanted to smoke weed with her, he mentioned making out and taking her to strip club and said he was "definitely interested" in hardcore sex, even admitting he intended to molest the girl at his plea hearing.
