Child Sex Predator Pleads Guilty To Two Felonies After Skipping Bond Four Times

Predators never change. I haven't highlighted Cody Mark Kozicki of Pulaski, Wisconsin, in a while because the case has somehow managed to simultaneously take unexpected turns and still not leave me the least bit surprised. Kozicki was in court in May, where a plea agreement was initially scheduled for August. As I've reported, Kozicki skipped bond three times in two separate cases after his initial arrest on three charges of sending pictures of his genitals to eight-year-old girls in November 2019.

In a level of stupidity I've never seen, Kozicki decided to skip bond a fourth time. He spent 45 days in jail before being able to bond out on his second and third bond jumping cases. After his release, the judge bolded and highlighted a condition Cody continually chose to violate in his pathetic attempts to become an influencer: you cannot use social media while on bond for sending minors porn via social media. As a result, he faced a total of seven felony charges with a maximum of 34.5 years in state prison with lifetime registration as a sex offender. After this seventh felony, he decided to plead guilty instead of dragging his case out any further, and he has now officially been found guilty of one count of transmission of harmful material to a minor (Felony I) and one count of bond jumping (Felony H). He faces up to 9.5 years in prison.

Likely, this teen offender will get nowhere near the maximum sentence. However, with his sentence set to be handed down on November 12th, I need to take this opportunity to plead to Judge Kendall M. Kelley personally. No matter what the sentence, Cody Kozicki is a convicted felon, and he will no longer be able to vote, own a weapon, use social media, finish high school or go to college, or any other number of things that come with being an American citizen. Seems bad, but it's trivial compared to what the three victims have had to go through. They were sexually assaulted, and that's the only way to describe this. They were exposed to an element of life they never should have seen at such a young age; their worlds have been changed forever, and their trust in fellow human beings, especially men, may be shattered for the rest of their lives. Kozicki jumped bond four times in less than a year; he has demonstrated utter disregard for the law and for the severity of his actions in his attempts to try to move on from the pain he caused. He may be a first-time sex offender, but he has sent middle- and high-school girls unsolicited images by the dozens, and this level of predatory behavior begins at a young age. If he is not put in prison and strictly monitored and registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life, he will reoffend.

Judge Kelley, you can literally do whatever you want with him now. If your will not give him the maximum sentence, at least give him 42 to 72 months in prison, the maximum for either one of these felonies or somewhere in between. Pleading away five felonies was enough of a gift to him. He is a serial child sex predator: he needs to be registered as a sex offender for life-- not 10 years, not 25, life. Finally, please, for the love of God, do not let this monster back on the internet.
