To Catch A Predator Update: Alabama

In 2014, Perverted Justice conducted its final operation and went out with a bang. 13 men were arrested over the course of 6 months in Hartford, Alabama, and their fates are detailed below.

Joshua Randall McClendon was convicted in 2016 and sentenced to six years probation, which will end in 2022, and lifetime RSO status.

Jared Michael Manuel had a long criminal history that included a statutory rape, several burglaries, and prescription drug charges, but had never been convicted. His streak ended in 2015 when he received two years probation and lifetime RSO status for a graphic online chat with a decoy. He was later convicted on the drug charges, but his failure in a diversion program and failure to register as a sex offender led to 18 months for the drug charges and six and 15 years for the Perverted Justice charges, all concurrent. He will be eligible for release in 2030.

Jeong Min Lee was convicted in 2016 and received lifetime sex offender registration.

Clayton Dickerson was convicted of two felonies and received lifetime sex offender registration. He lives in Ozark, Alabama.

Roger Isaiah Cassidy was convicted in 2015 and received lifetime RSO status. He still lives in the town of Dothan, Alabama.

Jeremy Scott Hoomes received lifetime registration as a sex offender after being convicted during the holidays. His gift didn't come with a receipt, and he lives in Brundidge, Alabama.

Ryan Christian Thomson was a 22-year-old former police officer and is now a registered sex offender. He received lifetime registration upon his conviction, and he still lives in Daleville, his life over before it truly began.

Rex Allen Riley was convicted and received a sentence of lifetime sex offender registration at the age of 21, and he also lost custody of his three-year-old son. Safe to say, he won't be soliciting minors anymore.

Jake Lavoy Lewis was convicted in 2015 and placed on eight years probation, which ends in 2023, and lifetime sex offender registration.

Fernando Carazco-Casillas wanted to have sex in a school and earned six years probation, which ends in 2022, and lifetime RSO status.

Larry Jay Frank had previously been convicted of indecent exposure in Virginia in 1999 and solicited two other PJ decoys. His family refused to bail him out, and after two years he pleaded guilty and received a "light" sentence of 7 years prison with credit for time served. He is scheduled for release in late 2021, after which he awaits lifetime RSO status.

Michael Graue lived in Kenesaue, Georgia and worked as a senior VP at Tenant Healthcare before he crossed state lines to have sex with a minor. He was sentenced to six years in prison and has since been released. He will be an RSO for life.

Barry Daniel Darish is a creep with a small head, a long neck, dead eyes, and an evil smile who received lifetime sex offender registration for crossing state lines to molest a child.

If any of these men reoffend, they will be eligible for chemical castration under a new Alabama law.
