To Catch A Predator Update: Livingston County

Ashish Jain was arrested in fall 2009 during the sting in Livingston County, smack in the middle of Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Lansing. Stings had already occurred in two of those cities, and the airings of "To Catch A Predator" sent a strong message. He was sentenced to a year in prison, with credit for time served, and deported to India.

Michael Krauss was a Civil Air Patrol officer for 25 years before being convicted and sentenced to 16 months to 20 years in prison. He was released in 2011 after serving 2 years, and he must also register as a sex offender for life. He lives in Detroit.

John Deleo Custer was a server who spent 2 days salary on taxi fare to the bust house. He was convicted of child sexually abusive activity and sentenced to only 5 months probation, but he did have to register as a sex offender for 25 years and pay significant fines. He lives in Clio, Michigan, just north of Flint.
