The Massage Parlor Predator's Trail Of Victims

The first inductee into the Fat Predator Hall of Fame was born on March 15th, 1957, and resided in Arcadia, California. Daniel Allen finished high school in 1968 and graduated UC-Santa Barbara in 1972, describing these as the "best four years of his life." He liked to fish, ride motorcycles, and work on a 1966 Ford pickup and a Schwinn Stingray. He drove a custom 2001 Mustang GT Bullitt and hoped to expand his vehicle collection.

Allen had liaisons with numerous women in the 1980s and 1990s, but none of his relationships worked out long-term. He had one child, a daughter who he said was "16, maybe 15" (implying she was born in 1989 but he didn't know her birthday) and lived in Sacramento. A young woman called "Daniella" recently appeared on Chris Hansen's podcast "Predators I've Caught" to discuss her father. It was made fairly obvious that he was a narcissist, as his profession was not "buying and selling antiques in the Philippines," but caring for his blind father and selling odd items on eBay to make ends meet. He did almost nothing with his daughter, although his criminal history indicates that is for the best.

In the mid-1990s, he was convicted of felony stalking and sentenced to a year in prison with five years probation. Because this was his first offense and he wound up going to prison with a felony conviction, it goes without saying the stalking was absolutely brutal. Allen drove by the home of his former girlfriend and her young children and installed a program that dialed her phone number constantly, forcing her to shut it off and essentially live in hiding for months. Allen would see his daughter only once between his time in prison and his bust on Riverside, picking her up from school in 2003 and trying to catch up on nearly a decade of missed time in an hour.

Still, like fellow Riverside pedophile Thomas Bodnar, he began his chat on Christmas Day, 2005. He demonstrated his perversion almost immediately, claiming he was 37 (he was actually 48) and telling the 13-year-old girl he was chatting with, Sami, that she was not too young for him. trying_2b_normal only got less normal as the chat went along: he told her she was cute, asked if she had a boyfriend, said he wanted her "so bad," told her to "sit on Santa's lap," showed her his butt on camera, masturbated on camera, peed in a cup, asked her to give him a full-body massage (he previously hinted that he got happy endings at a Mira Loma massage parlor), stated he wanted to be her teacher, asked her to make him "big and hard," asked her if she had pubic hair, asked her how big her breasts were, asked her to pee on him, and on, and on, and on. He grew increasingly paranoid as the chat went on, saying she was underage and that he could be considered a predator.

He drove to Riverside on the first night of the sting: January 6th, 2006. His interview was mostly aired and became one of the more famous ones in the series. His transition from an easygoing guy to wanting to shove a camera down a crewmember's throat and wanting to "speak with [Chris] outside," in addition to his admission that he had met underage people before (who "turned out to be guys having a big laugh on him"), made him unforgettable. He was arrested and interviewed at the processing center set up in a parking lot (sitting next to predator Michael Wehry).

Someone who certainly did not forget him was his daughter and her entire family, who taped Allen when the special aired in March 2006 and gathered as a family to watch it, surprised that he had been caught but not surprised at his behavior. "Daniella" has moved on with her life but spent a considerable amount of time following Daniel Allen's case; she has been contacted by numerous people who claim to have been abused in some way by Daniel Allen, and it is unlikely we will ever know the full scale of the harm he caused.

Allen would never hurt anyone ever again. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison with lifetime RSO status on June 24th, 2006 (the second Riverside conviction and second relatively long prison term handed out there). He was released in autumn 2008 in failing health and died at age 50 on January 9th, 2009. One way or another, justice caught up with every piece of trash busted in Riverside.
