Half Dozen Predators Nabbed In Upper Michigan Sting
The Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team (GHOST), led by increasingly-renowned Sheriff Chris Swanson, together with the Upper Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force and numerous local law enforcement agencies in the Marquette and Menominee areas, organized a sting operation targeting men who solicited sex online from children between the ages of 13 and 15.
One Northern Wisconsin man, who is now subject to federal charges for crossing state lines, and five Michigan men were busted in a few days, and, if convicted, face up to 51 years in prison with lifetime sex offender registration. The arrests are as follows:
1. Robert Jay Miller, 42, of Negaunee.
2. Ameire Rackem Stevens, 48, of Skandia.
3. Alan Brian Schwalbach, 64, of Vulcan.
4. Keith David Johnson, 50, of Au Train.
5. Chad Michael Anderson, 32, of Gwinn.
6. Jeremy Bertrand, 33, of Pound, Wisconsin.
