To Catch A Predator Update: Murphy, Texas

     

     Murphy, Texas, earned a special place in the hearts of millions of Americans as most-hated city when their residents took the stand to complain about the inconvenience of efforts to stop sex offenders, with attire and accent that made taking any point they could present seriously an impossibility. Further controversy arose when Kaufman assistant district attorney Louis Conradt, Jr. shot and killed himself in his home. The police chief was fired over the incident and the mayor not reelected, despite all the proper procedures being followed. The sympathy articles he received from the media and the out-of-court settlement from NBC his greedy, prideful sister Patricia received became hard to justify when his computer was analyzed and found to be in possession of child pornography.

     In June 2007, the incompetent mayor and prosecutor succeeded in throwing so-called "Texas justice" right out the window when they refused to prosecute any cases. That didn't stop some men from getting into trouble. Asif Rauf Khokar showed up to the house on the day Conradt was confronted, and he was later convicted by a judge in his home city of Houston on the charge. He received 2 years in prison and lifetime RSO status, graduating from the University of Houston-Clear Lake before his conviction. He has not worked in the healthcare field since his time in prison, and he remains registered on Grape Street in Houston. His reputation page is here.

     Timothy Gilliam was the definition of vile scum. He and his wife co-owned a number of McDonald's in the area and were quite wealthy, but he apparently felt the need to bring his kids with him to molest a child. In May 2011, he and his wife were under investigation for HUD and mortgage fraud when he mysteriously died, likely of suicide.

     Justin Estes currently has two addresses listed: Denton, Texas, and a town called Atoka in the state of Oklahoma.

     Randall H. Wolford was an oil consultant with a wife when he was caught in Murphy. His wife immediately filed for divorce, which was granted in March 2007. In 2008, he was arrested for soliciting a decoy account run by law enforcement, and it was later revealed that he had raped another child and a woman. For his solicitation case, he received 24 years and 4 months in prison. He will be eligible for release in 2029, when he is 75.

     Steve Rosello continues to live in Kennedale, Texas. According to LinkedIn, he works as an account executive for Reflection Band.

     Eric Rubalcava continues to live on Swinbrook Lane in Houston. Unfortunately, he did not meet the same fate as fellow Houston resident Khokar did. His reputation page is here.

     Stanley Kendall resigned his job as a teacher after his arrest. He moved to Indiana and got jobs as a substitute teacher there, but he was fired in 2014 after his TCAP appearance was discovered. He was catfished the following year for months on end and had videos of himself doing sexual things, such as eating his own feces, posted online. He died in 2017 at the age of 65.

     Sajjad Altaf Mohammed works as a lead software engineer (a job not too hard to keep as a man busted seeking sex from a minor) in Murphy, Texas, the only man from the town arrested during the sting. Hus address is listed on Ranger Road. His reputation page is here.

     Kevin Neil Carroll currently lives on Village Drive in Lewisville, Texas. His reputation score is way too high for that of a child predator, so I took the liberty of knocking it down a bit and suggest you do the same here.

     William Bayne Dow also came from Carollton and earned himself a fanbase for claiming that a cock ring he bought was really a finger indexer. He lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on Mt. Olivet Road. His reputation page is here.

     Edward Hollingsworth earned notoriety for his "TwinkToilet" screen name. He was later alleged to have bragged to a coworker about taking a trip to Australia with a teenage boy. In June 2012, he died after a brief battle with pneumonia, and he even tweeted, "I get to ride in the ambulance," on the day of his death.

     Timothy Knowles returned to Fort Lauderdale, Florida after his brush with the law. Not much is known about his later life except that he died in 2016, 3 days after his 45th birthday, of unknown causes.

     Christopher Ray Cothrum was arrested in 2012 for violating virtually every vehicle law in existence, from license to registration. He spent 2 days in jail before his case was resolved, and he currently lives in Weatherford, Texas.

     Samuel Tanguma was arrested in 2011 on an unknown charge. He sold his property in Grand Prairie, Texas, for a measly $35,000 in 2015, and is currently married to a woman named Melida. He lives on Lucetta Street in Midlothian, Texas. His reputation page is here.

     Alan Jay Chernnay may have been out of his mind, but his wife was even more so for staying with an unemployed sexual predator. He lives on Coit Road in Plano, Texas. His reputation page is here.

     Because of all the acquittals, quite a bit of information that would otherwise have been made public was lost. I was unable to find anything on James Marsh, Ryan Fritz, John Baker, Patrick Parr, David Pann, or Jose Soto.
