To Catch A Predator Update: Long Beach, Part Three
In all forms do they come.
Robert Salinas was an ordinary joe who looked like a good man, but his true form was revealed to be that of a snake when he appeared on "To Catch A Predator." After being convicted in 2007, he was placed on probation until 2010 and must register as a sex offender for life. He no longer has his characteristic mustache and is now quite old-looking.
Rob Culbertson, on the other hand, is the scariest looking of the Long Beach predators; he looks like the crazy person outside of Walmart who would attack a stranger for the thrill of it. He spent 4 months in jail before pleading guilty and being sentenced to time served, probation until 2010, and lifetime RSO status. In 2015, he was arrested for impersonating and harassing a police officer and, after switching his plea to "no contest," received 3 years probation and a criminal protective order. He is currently in violation of his RSO status, having absconded, which means he, like Galeano, may do 1-3 years in prison.
Tanisorn Lam was another run-of-the-mill predator who received a run-of-the-mill sentence of 3 years probation with lifetime RSO status. One interesting note is that he is listed as a level 4 offender, higher than some of the more prolific or graphic predators. He lives in Camarillo.
Corey Edgar was the man who claimed he was just going fishing and insinuated he thought he was soliciting a 102-year-old woman, with a flurry of comebacks by Chris Hansen. He received 3 years probation and lifetime sex offender registration. He still has the same halfwit stare he did 15 years ago. He lives in Whittier. When reached for comment, he simply said, "I would never meet a minor to do anything sexual. I am reporting you to Yahoo. Please leave me alone!"
Matthew Nash was a drummer who had his family and friends rally behind him. He neglected to inform his band about his arrest until after he was convicted and the long Beach sting aired, and it broke up soon afterward. He received probation until 2010 and lifetime RSO membership. He lives in Los Angeles.
Matthew Bland spent 2 months in jail before pleading guilty and receiving time served with 3 years probation (which ended in 2009) and lifetime RSO status. Like many predators, he later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and appears on that state's registry. He owns and drives a vintage Chrysler.
David Frandsen earned a chuckle with his screen name "curvedforherpleasure," which has become an underground cult favorite among those who don't even know his name. He received credit for the time he served and was placed on 3 years probation and lifetime RSO status. He lives in San Diego.
Ramin Sarajari got 3 years probation and lifetime RSO status. He had a pretty gross chat, and, being one of the older predators at Long Beach, is noted (if at all) for looking like Joe from Impractical Jokers. Judging by his age and his low reputation score, I found the profile of a man who must be him: he lives in Pamona and is married to a woman named Susan. His sex offender registration most likely expired, as I was unable to find a page under his name or any of his aliases. I may also have found a blog and a pretty terrible poem he wrote called, "Believe Me," which should be as much of a crime as what he did on TV.
Arturo Chirino "Oh, my God! NOOOOO!!!"ed himself 3 years probation with lifetime RSO status. I have been unable to find his RSO page or any updates about him, so it is likely that he joined Paul Clemente in leaving the United States.
James Carlton chatted for a week with a "Goth Christian" and earned himself 3 years probation and sex offender registration, but like the rest of these last few I found little info on his post-TCAP activities. He may have been removed from the registry, as I could not find his RSO page anywhere in the country.
Chris Reyes was a scary predator, a big guy with piercings who used pretty aggressive language with a supposed 13-year-old. He received 3 years probation and sex offender registration, but like the rest of these last few I found little info on his post-TCAP activities. He may have been removed from the registry, as I could not find his RSO page anywhere in the country.
James Magtira received 3 years probation and sex offender registration, but like the rest of these last few I found little info on his post-TCAP activities. He may have been removed from the registry, as I could not find his RSO page anywhere in the country.
Farzad Kalantari went from saying, "I must go shopping," to, "Maybe kill myself. Maybe," in a few hours. He got 3 years probation and sex offender registration, but like the rest of these last few I found little info on his post-TCAP activities. He may have been removed from the registry, as I could not find his RSO page anywhere in the country.
