To Catch A Predator Update: Fortson, Part Two
Two more military men showed up at the Fortson, Georgia house. The first was Marshall Girtman, a boring man who received 4 years in prison and 6 years probation. He was released in 2009 and remained on probation until 2015. He currently lives in Illinois and is registered as a sex offender there, and Quilts of Valor thought that the fact that he was a child rapist deserved to be ignored because he served in the military. He was honored in 2020. Please contact them here.
The second was Brian Lindsey, who received 5 years in prison and 15 years probation. He was released in 2010 and will remain on probation until 2025 and an RSO for life. Little is known about his life.
George Cleary remained in jail while his case was heard and was released after 2 years in 2008. He remained on probation until 2016 and will be an RSO for life.
Like Cleary, William Rowell was unable to bail out and remained in jail. Unlike Cleary, he received a harsh sentence of 6 years in prison. He was released in 2008 and will remain on probation until 2022 and a registered sex offender for life.
James Klein was sentenced to the standard 5 years in prison and 10 years probation. He was released in time for Christmas in 2009, and stayed on probation until 2019. He also got RSO status for life.
Cody Green was a truly scary man. He admitted being attracted to minors and was sentenced to 3 years in prison, being released in 2010. While out on bond, he had flashed a girl at a public pool and was given a slap on the wrist. His parents are well-to-do, which may explain this. He did receive probation until 2022, during which he must wear and ankle monitor and live with his parents.
Jacob Cason, unlike the iconic Cody Green, was never aired except for a short clip in which he argues his innocence at his bond hearing. He received a sentence of 4 years in prison and was released in 2010, and he will be on probation until 2031, as well as an RSO for life.
David Hilbish also didn't understand that he wasn't legally able to do this. He received 6 years in prison and it is believed that he served his full sentence, which places his release around 2013. He will remain on probation until 2032 and, as a registered sex offender, he lost his kids. He currently lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Todd West claimed "pre-marital jitters" and brought his pastor and fiancee in to defend him. She is the only spouse of a predator to do an interview (in Glamour Magazine). She and her kids wanted to stay with him, but, when they found out he would be a registered sex offender, she divorced him nearly 2 years after he was caught. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison and released in 2011. His probation runs until 2026, although I was unable to find his RSO information.
Like Gerald White, Denis Coulson, the Scooby Doo Predator, tried to kill himself in prison. He took drugs that obviously did not work, and he was sentenced to 4 years in prison and released in 2009. His probation ended in 2015, and he will be an RSO for life.
Todd West is back with his wife as can be seen on her FB page.
