To Catch A Predator Update: Milwaukee

Adam C. Miller was the man in the Packers jacket who ran and punched a Milwaukee police officer. He initially received only 7 months in jail, but appears to have spent roughly twice as long in the clink. After being released in 2008, he remained on probation until 2013, and he must be registered as a sex offender until 2028. He still lives in Germantown, Wisconsin.

Sean Young was a much more dangerous individual, caught cruising by the house with a loaded gun, despite being a convicted felon. He fired 3 lawyers who urged him to plead guilty and instead represented himself in court, disrupting the trial with numerous antics. He has been in prison for the past 11 years and will likely spend several more in prison before being released. After that he will spend 10 years on probation and be an RSO until at least 2044.

Miguel Miranda was not caught in the sting conducted with sheriffs in 2006, but in the media-only one in 2005. Already a registered sex offender, he was sentenced to 4 years in prison, probation until 2014, and deportation from the United States. He is currently listed as non-compliant with registration, so it is unknown whether he absconded after his prison term or whether he was deported.

Like Miranda, Wayne P. Harris was exposed in 2005 and only later arrested by police. His sentence is unknown, but it is reasonable to believe he spent years in prison, as he remains on probation to this day and must register as a sex offender until at least 2035.

Thanks to Wisconsin's proactive district attorneys, Lucas Falkenstein was arrested for sending pictures of his genitials to decoy in the 2005 sting. He took a plea agreement and was sentenced to 6 months in jail and sex offender registration until at least 2023. He lives in Montana.

A similar arrest in the 2005 sting was that of Joseph Kinney, a teacher who had a sexual chat with a child. His sentence is unknown, but it appears he is no longer listed as a sex offender. However, he never worked as a teacher again.

Timothy Wolfe was arrested in the 2006 sting for exposing a minor to harmful material. He received 9 months in jail, probation until 2009, and sex offender registration until at least 2023. He lives in Suring, Wisconsin.

David Ackley was exposed on TV and arrested. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison, probation until 2013, and sex offender registration until 2028, if he manages to live to be that old.

Geoff Roehrig was a loser, a balding 22-year-old with a thick Wisconsin douche accent who asked for gas money and showed up with marijuana. He received one year and six months in jail, probation until 2012, and he must register as a sex offender until at least 2027.

Seda Som came from Illinois with marijuana to molest a child. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison, probation until 2012, and sex offender registration until at least 2027. While he has cleaned up, word is that, when he went to prison, he "just didn't care." He still lives in Chicago.

Angus McArthur pled guilty to misdemeanors and received 2 years probation. That was clearly a mistake: in 2013 he was arrested and convicted of false imprisonment, aggravated battery, sexual assault, and strangulation, and sentenced to 35 years and 6 months in prison. He should get out in 15 years or so, after which he must register as a sex offender for life.
