The First Sikh Attorney General Is Teaching Garden State Sex Predators A Lesson

Perhaps nobody is better suited for being the first Sikh attorney general than Gurbir S. Grewal, the first Sikh county prosecutor and first Sikh state attorney general in New Jersey and the United States. With such a dense population, crime abounds, and the online solicitation of minors is no exception. Just last week, 12 online sex predators from 4 states were arrested in 4 days with the help of the FBI and Somerset County Sheriff's Office. This follows on the backs of at least 5 other major stings conducted since he took office in January 2018 alongside dozens of minor arrests, which brings the total busted by his office to nearly 150. These men haven't gotten off easy: for the state crime alone, they face 5-10 years in prison with lifetime parole and lifetime RSO status, and the men from New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut face an additional 5-10 years in federal prison. The courts haven't gone easy on them either, with not a single acquittal thusfar.

He has also arrested dozens of men for child porn and even made arrests of men exposed for crimes against children by vigilantes, demonstrating his true commitment to protecting New Jersey's children. He is a true inspiration, and his work has potentially saved a child every day for the duration of his tenure. From breaking racial barriers to saving children, he is a truly amazing human being.
