How The Federal Government Is On Track To Arrest A Million Pedophiles
Launched in 1998 and 2006 respectively, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Project Safe Childhood continue to make tens of thousands of arrests on an annual basis. With more than 100,000 convictions thusfar, the federal government is on track to arrest a million people for child porn and child solicitation charges.
Just this week, the following sentences were handed out:
-A New York man, Robert Kirk, was sentenced to 40 years in prison with lifetime probation for groping a child and distributing the images online.
-A Pennsylvania man, Jack Brian LaForte, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison with 15 years of probation for possession of child pornography.
-A Kentucky man, Andrew Dick, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession of child porn, and he also faces military trial.
-A Kentucky man, Bradley D. Hall, was sentenced to 34 years in prison for producing child porn and sending it to an undercover officer.
-A Utah man, Timothy Hallows, was sentenced to 46 months in prison for possession of child porn.
-A Maryland man, Victor Kopfstein-Penk, was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and ordered to pay $150,000 in restitution for possessing naked pictures of dozens of students.
-A Lummi Washington man, Gideon Thomas Bewley, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for the rape of a 12-year-old girl.
- A Florida man, Harlon David Prater, was sentenced to life without parole for molesting a baby and a toddler and distributing images and video of it.
-A Sioux Iowa man, Marquel Grant, was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison with 5 years probation and lifetime RSO status for raping a teen he met online.
-A Florida man, Jeffrey Dinkel, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for possession of child porn.
-A Virginia man, Martin Huizar, was sentenced to 9.1 years in prison for distributing child porn.
-A New Jersey man, Nicholas Pecil, was sentenced to 7.3 years in prison for child porn distribution.
-A Texas man, Albert Garza, was sentenced to 2 years in prison for failure to register as a sex offender.
-A New York man, James Early, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for raping two minors he met online.
-A Kansas woman, Taylor Kinsey, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for taking a minor across state lines and trafficking her as a prostitute.
-A Wisconsin man, Jonathan E. Tillman, was sentenced to 10 years in prison with 15 years probation for possession of child porn after his wife reported him.
-A Pennsylvania man, John Bryan Snow, was sentenced to 15 years in prison with 15 years probation for impersonating a marshal to solicit child porn.
-A New York man, Jake Cruse, was sentenced to 10.4 years in prison for trading in child porn.
In just a week, 18 people were sent to prison and nearly 200 more were arrested, indicted, or convicted.
