How To "Remind" Your Local Sex Offenders

Remember, "harassing" a sex offender is strictly illegal. Causing a few slimeballs some grief isn't worth 3-9 months in jail, depending on the state you reside in. That's why we don't use the word "harass;" we use the word "remind." There are perfectly legal ways to "remind" your local sex offender that what they did will never be forgotten, that, while the justice system made a mistake by letting them out of prison, citizen justice is still very much real.

One good way is to check the registry. Certain men are worse than the others, and those are the men worth "reminding." Pick one at a time, one who looks arrogant, creepy, or one who is moving too far past their crime (i.e. marrying, getting a good job, etc.). Each town should probably have a Facebook page, so a good thing would be to link the whole page or an individual registry to the town page. It will likely be removed, but, in the interim, a few people should see it.

Another good tactic is flyers... on the state registry, there is an option to print them off. Print out a few dozen and pass them out to everyone within a block of the offender's house. Place the flyers in places where people congregate: light posts, business and community bulletin boardss, etc. Literally thousands of people could have their curiosity piqued.

And, I mean, you can't control everybody. If somebody who saw the information decided to perform an immature prank on Halloween or the like, the police couldn't possibly place the blame on a law-abiding citizen simply disseminating public information. You didn't cause it and you didn't know the person who did it.

You can't just harass people, but there is no rule against making it more likely.
