Central Valley Pedophiles Learn The Hard Way
Xavier Becerra (D), the California Attorney General, has made it his mission to weed out predators in his state, particularly in the Central Valley.
In June, Lathrop (near Sacramento) deputies arrested 18 child sex predators after a similar sting in the fall of 2019 arrested 8 men. Despite 26 arrests in 9 months in a single town, predators will continue to show up there.
In August, Fresno arrested 34 online sex predators, including Thomas Binford, 55, of Clovis, who was already a registered sex offender for assaulting a young girl and now faces 10+ years in prison. The scary part was that these men were only a fraction of the 190 who continued chatting with Fresno deputies after they learned the age of the decoy.
Just days ago, 13 men were arrested in a sting in Tulare. Among them was Chris Harrell, 43, a noted civic leader who chaired the town's Board of Public Utilities. Under pressure from the mayor, he has since resigned, and must now face the court of public opinion and the courts of law.
There are more stings on the way, and, despite 65 arrests in just 4 months, or one every other day, Central Valley predators are still out there and still need to be taken care of.
