Another Day, Another 22 Child Rapists Arrested In Florida
Florida has some weird folks, but the men and women in law enforcement down there sure as hell aren't. A sting in Naples, Florida, a few days ago led to the arrests of 22 men who solicited children online for sex. Among them were a local man, 33, named Noelvis Carvajal, two registered sex offenders who were arrested solely on the basis of their chats, and a man who now faces human trafficking charges after he offered to pay the decoy for sex. The men brought lube, condoms, and alcohol, and came from all races, ages, religions, and socioeconomic statuses.
Last month, 4 men, 3 of whom crossed state lines from Georgia, were charged with aggravated sexual felonies.
The Florida Sheriff's Association has maintained a rigorous routine of stings: In August, they arrested 16 men, including a registered sex offender named Michael Daughtry, a man named Matthew Jones found with 51 images of child pornography, a U.S. Army Reserve officer named Melvin Rosa Viera, and Stephen Utter, a former Manatee County sheriff's deputy. In March, 16 other men were arrested, including: Paul Lagerblade, a registered sex offender who answered an ad on Craigslist and admitted in his chat to having spent 6 years in prison for the same thing; a college student named Bhavya Shah, who asked to "just get a ticket" so he could finish his master's thesis; Miguel Caez, Jr., on active felony probation; Christian Buford, another college student who thought oral sex with a child was perfectly legal; Matthew Budd, who had previous arrests for sex offenses; Mitchell Gaunt, a retired grandfather; and many more. It's a real Trumpey website, which means all the Facebook comments will ignore the 10 white guys who were arrested if they can find a single Hispanic person.
As a result, Florida's kids are safer.
